Tattoos: A creative art form

While i turned 18, I finally got the tattoo i have been planning to get since my sixteenth birthday. I actually designed this myself. This says, " take a breath” with a center at the end of computer. I went to the tattoo parlor a week before my personal actually visit and explained to my tattoo artist the exact font, coloring, and reason behind my personal tattoo style. The saying " take a breath” is significant to me. I actually try to stick to the advice and constantly declare it to myself while i am sense overwhelmed, inferior, or in a difficult situation. When I came home after I got the tattoo my mom planned to see how much " damage” I actually do to my body, but very little did your woman and me know that she would actually appreciate my skin image. The skin image is on my left ribs cage going horizontal from bellow my personal left breast to my part making it simple to cover up. Due to tattoo, the phrase " take a breath” has truly become the motto for my own immediate relatives as well as my very own.

However , not all young adults who have become tattoos encounter acceptance using their families, and i also can also admit I do feel that some adults view me personally as a dysfunctional young adult and I are not alone. In " Needling and High-Risk Behavior in Adolescents, ” a 2002 article, Roberts and Jones state that these young adults with tattoos could be more likely to be involved in high-risk behaviors. The authors determine that those who have body art at a young age needs to be giving a even more intensive assessment of their tendencies and drug abuse tests during a physical examination. Roberts and Ryan represent that adolescents with tattoos are having behavioral issues. Individuals young people with tattoos are more inclined to engage dangerous behavior problems than their nontattooed peers: such as sexual intercourse, drug employ, more at risk of violence, and have had higher issues at school. The authors believe that " Tattooing is a common behavior between adolescents and is strongly related into a wide variety of behaviors that set adolescents at risk for morbidity and fatality. ” (p. 8). The authors conclude that " although it may be tempting in conclusion that all inked adolescents take part in high-risk patterns, our data serve simply to support the larger likelihood of inked adolescents involved in such behavior. ” (p. 8). These findings only serve to demonstrate typical belief that those nontattooed people put on young adults with tattoos. As being a young mature, I know a large number of people both, adolescent and grown adults, who have tattoo designs and are not involved in high-risk behavior. " Within American culture, body art are great – providing others do not need to look at them” (Roberts 5). There is a constant confusion and acceptance amongst those with tattoos. Roberts addresses of how tattoo designs have become a lot more prevalent between young adults and adolescents, nevertheless , those who are more mature adults nonetheless think of tattoos to be among those who are troubled. Depending on your age and once and in which one was raised the look on tattoos and a tattooed person may vary. Each technology has its own undertake tattoos starting from the 1st tattoos that were seen on sailors and pirates to seeing tattoos on any gender, interpersonal class, age group, etc . Take for instance when tattoos were predominantly found on sailors during the 1700's, a popular cartoon character Popeye the Sailor showing up in the 1930's, portrays the stereotypical sailor man man who was covered in the stereotypical ship tattoos during that time period. The next generation associated tattooed individuals with individuals who were in prisons or affiliated with bande. The experts that have been publishing journals, articles, books, etc . about inked persons, have come from this era that affiliates tattooed people who have being in the deviant character. Is it nondiscriminatory to say that those people that have tattoos are all in high-risk manners, recommending that those young adults who do have got tattoos...
